When I first saw it, it was in a normal open wing stand, this "defensive posture", was taken when I got too close to the Butterfly. It frozed in this position, pretending to be a flower, to the point that I even broke the stem where it hung and it did not move at all. I took advantage of that and proceded to take this unusual posture photos. Eduardo Castro
